Famlies Express Their Happiness

Luther Dow-son of Frances (photo above) September 21, 2018
Compared to other facilities, San Carlos Elms was shoulders above in facility appearance and attention given to my mother. All staff on the 3rd floor, they were all great. Attention staff provided and the quick response I say given to everyone, not just my mother.

My stepmother loved it here. The staff, services, food, etc. are exceptional. Ketty in the Dining Room was always smiling and friendly. Everyone was always so helpful and accommodating. She had a wonderful time living at The Elms.

Thank you!

Thanks Scott,

Your team's care for my Mom has been fantastic in every way! I am so thankful that we found The Elms. I consistently found the entire staff to be caring, compassionate, friendly and professional.

They seemed to genuinely cared about my Mom. Of course, they did all the required physical care with skill and diligence. However I could tell that they went out of their way to take care of the little things to make the quality of her life that much better: painting her nails, taking great care of her hair and skin, so that she looked as good as I know she would have wanted could she have known.

Having worked as a corporate executive for many years, I understand that the staff does all the real work-but I also know that the senior team sets the tone. I am very appreciative of the great job that and the management team have done to create such a positive atmosphere of The Elms that always seemed positive and upbeat.

Best Regards,
Philip

From Families who have been a part of our family at San Carlos Elms

Judy Young-daughter of William Young( photo above), June 12, 2018
I think the Elms was the best place for my father to spend his final years. The staff that stand out are Kathleen Sullivan, Ashley, David (receptionist), Ismary, and Rosa are very personable and on top of things. Helen and Sarah in the Dining Room bend over backwards to meet Resident's needs. What meant the most to me was how I got to know the staff and they tried their best to meet my father's needs. It was unfortunate that he was sicker than we knew and his participation in activities was limited.

Anytime I raised any issues or concerns they were addressed promptly and professionally. The staff that stands out are Osi, Rosario, Meiling, Flor there were others whose names I can't recall but with the exception of a couple they were all very good. The Kindness, Care, Compassion and Patience of the Care Staff towards my mom went beyond my expectations.

Kathleen was always respectful and helpful. Great level of care and communication.

The care my mother received at The Elms was above my expectations, she was safe and well care for. I was impressed with all the staff I interacted with, but mostly the med staff. [what meant the most was] my mother's safety, her care and the staff who took such excellent care of her needs at all times! Having my mother at The Elms was a gift to me and my family. We were truly blessed. Continue the amazing job you all do for our loved ones. "I miss you all! Take Care"

If someone needs assistant living arrangements the San Carlos Elms meets this need in a personal (family-like) and caring way that can accommodate a wide variety of needs. Kathleen stands out but everyone was very caring-Kathleen sets a standard for the team.

[What stood out was the] confidence that a dying loved one was well taken care of and ease with which we could make adjustments to care as needed, flexibility.

Magda, Brianna, Meiling, Lori, all the waiters and waitresses who served Bob, Raquel, David, Kathleen, Maribel- Everyone treated Bob with love and respect. What meant the most to me was knowing that Bob was in a safe, well maintained environment with caring and sensitive staff.

The staff was very attentive to my mom's needs and went above and beyond in her care during the final days of her life. I will be forever Grateful! Nurse and Care Staff were outstanding! Thank you! A Quiet, caring environment where my mom could have a great deal of independence.

Music and Memory Program-Thank you!

Hi There,
I left dad (photo above) sitting listening to his music with a huge smile on his face. He kept asking if I could hear it so I listened for a few seconds to what he was hearing. It was very upbeat! He was so excited and kept saying this is great music.

So, thank you once again for bringing this music program to The Elms. Another gentleman in the Grove was quietly singing along to his. I don't know if dad would sing along after I left but I wouldn't be surprised. It was wonderful to see them so excited and happy. Such a great addition to the program in the Grove.

I hope he can listen more often. I've ordered another CD that is on back order.
Best,
R.S.

Hi Kathleen,

Thanks so much for the pics/videos-so cute!

Also, thank you for all your kindness and help with my father (Dan, picture above) over the last year+. He really loved the staff/ food and activities at the Elms. My brother and sisters and myself were very happy that he got to live there till the end.

Thanks again!
